Management
Successful management
Managers are the key to the success of any business and the performance of its staff. In a recent survey, 73% of staff said that the biggest problem they faced at work was their relationship with their manager. Why does this happen?
Many managers are promoted because of technical expertise and become managers with little support or development when in fact management is a skill all of its own which requires training and nurturing over many months and years.
So, managers isolate themselves from their teams – e.g. they attend meetings, focus on emails and other tasks rather than managing their people. This becomes the way we do things and it takes a sea change to help managers break through.
When managers support and encourage their teams, performance levels go through the roof. That's why we recommend that our clients invest in their managers, especially those responsible for front-line staff.
We run a number of programmes aimed at managers. These start with the 2 day Management skills workshop. Click here to book the next workshop or call us on 01634 883324 for more information.
